I want you to know that I am thinking of you, and I hope all your family and friends are doing well. I hope each and everyone of your students got the package with the choice boards sent by the district. If you haven't please visit the Charles Ellis Website by clicking here.
I wanted to share a few things your students can do to maintain their reading and math skills.
Parents, please feel free to contact me any time. Also, kindly allow your students to share their thoughts on this Padlet. They can ask me questions or make comments about the work or about their day!
Lastly, my office hours are from 8 to 2 pm. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]
Thank you!
Miss Carolina

Why do birds have beaks?
There are several ways to extend this activity. Repeat the activity with additional "foods" in each test square. Rubber bands make good worms. Different pastas can simulate seed pods. Marbles and pennies present a challenge. Which beak works best for which food? Simulate situations that make food more difficult to get.
Second Year Students
How many different kinds of animals are there?
Activity: Kinds-of-Animals Bulletin Board Set up the bulletin board by dividing it into 5 blocks, labeling one for each group of animals: Mammals (bones, hair/fur, live birth) Birds (bones, feathers, lays eggs) Reptiles (bones, scales, lays eggs) Boneless Animals (no bones, no fur/feathers, lays eggs) ?? Where do these belong??
